Anime : Utawarerumono

Story:
A story centering around the masked protagonist, Hakuoro, who one day is found by a family of two girls and their grandmother in a nearby forest close to their village. He is badly injured and is soon found to have amnesia, so they take him to their home and treat him until he is well again. Hakuoro is soon accepted into their village where he stays and lives with them, but before long Hakuoro finds that life in this village is being oppressed by the greedy emperor who rules over the country their village resides in. Soon after, these negative actions taken towards their village result in him leading a rebellion against the emperor of the country which later lands him to become emperor of a vast new country which is named Tusukuru, after the well-respected woman who helped save his life.

After becoming emperor and things begin to calm down, Hakuoro soon finds out that peace is hard to maintain and finds himself constantly in battle in order to protect the peace of his country and his people. Eventually, he is led into many bloody battles in order to fight for the freedom of all those residing in Tusukuru. Along the way, Hakuoro meets several other strong warriors from several other countries and tribes who are fully accepted into Hakuoro's growing family. Many moments of hardship and laughter ensue as time continues but with Hakuoro leading the way, all others are confident in his ability to lead.

Review:

The story's genre is at first a fantasy-style story with heavy Ainu influence, though later develops science fiction themes towards the end. Indeed, it first appears to take place in a fantasy world, fully with magical beings and interesting new species of humans, but it is later revealed that it takes place in a post-apocalyptic Earth's far future.

The story is indeed fascinating! At first, it's just some fantasy story. But then it becomes something more. To tell you the truth, I couldn't understand the story even when it ended! I had to go to wikipedia.org in order to understand the story. I highly recommend this anime as it's a remarkable one!

Rating:

I'd give this anime a full 10/10 rating! The story and characters deserve it!

Anime: Dennou Coil

Dennou Coil

Summary:

Dennou Coil is set in a fictional city of Daikoku in an age where augmented reality (AR) technology has just begun to enter the mainstream. Daikoku is mostly AR, that is city-wide virtual reality! The story follows kids who use "glasses" that enables them to see the virtual side of their city. It's set in the near future where even pets have become virtual material and only seen by those wearing the "glasses".

Dennou Coil tells the story about a girl named "Yūko Okonogi" moves with her family to the city of Daikoku, the technological center of the emerging half-virtual world. "Yūko" (later on called "Yasako" which means kind girl) joins her grandmother's "investigation agency" comprised of children equipped with virtual tools and metatags.

As their research turns up mounting evidence of children who have been whisked away to the mysterious "other side" of reality, they find themselves entangled in a conspiracy to cover up the dangerous true nature and history of the new technology.

Review:

I think this anime is quite unique! Given the fact it was in production for a year or so, this anime brings about a truly original storyline with original setting. It might look childish at first glance, but it's really beyond that! Come to think of it, this story reminds me of another story (the game .Hack// G.U trilogy's).
I can't help but wish to have lived in such a world where virtual meets reality! Imagine seeing virtual data fragments and have cyber pets, let alone having a portable-like PC with you for you to access anytime since you're half virtual now!
Yasako finds herself in this strange rumor about a girl called "Michiko-san" who has died and her soul was pulled to other side of the cyber world. When "Yūko Amasawa" (later on called "Isako" which means brave girl) tries hard to find illegals (some sort of computer virus) in hope of finding kirabugs (metabugs are some sort of fragmented data that is only valuable to kids, and the kirabugs is said to hold special powers) that according to a rumor is said to hold the power of opening the door to the other side where she believes her older brother's soul is trapped.

This anime is pretty good! I recommend it!

Rating:

I'd give this true piece of art a good 9/10! The kids as the protagonists is quite disturbing to me so that's why I didn't give it a full 10/10!

Anime: Zombie Loan

Zombie Loan

Summary:

Zombie loan tells the story of a young girl named "Michiru Kita" who possess the so called "shinigami no me" which translates to "death god eyes" that can see black rings around people's nick. The rings darkens over time as the person approaches their time of death. Michiru Kita meets two boys from her school ("Chika Akatsuki" and "Shito Tachibana") that have these rings and when she looks into the matter, she discovers that they are in fact dead and had to make a deal with an agency called "Zombie-Loan" and they have to kill zombies to pay back their debt. Her life gets more complicated.
Review:
Zombie loan is a great anime. It offers a good, lightweight,not-complicated story that will serve as a good time distraction. It will keep you entertained most of the time and you'll actually will be wanting even more. The fact that it only has 11 episodes is kind of good and bad, because when it ends you'd find yourself wanting more and more. But that's not entirely wrong of you, because of the fact the ending wasn't so satisfying at all! In fact, it was missing a lot of "closure" if you will, and leaves you hanging scratching your head wondering about alot of unexplained things! But that doesn't cover the fact it's a good ride to enjoy!
The character development wasn't that great and it could need a little more depth. There are certain unanswered questions that most people seem to share. Like, how did "Michiru-san" ever get the shinigami eyes? Or what "Bekko-san" is up to? These questions and more will remain unanswered, I guess.
Rating:
I give this anime a good 8.5/10. It deserves it for it's good story-line and funny moments.

Anime: Ai Yori Aoshi

Ai Yori Aoshi

Hey everyone again! Today I'm gonna talk about the anime "Ai Yori Aoshi". This anime is one of my favs of all tiime. I think it had great moments there, but also some flaws...but what isn't flawed and is beautiful, right?

Story:(9/10)
I guess storyline is one of the main features of anything,so let's discuss this first.
The story goes around about a boy named "Kaoru Hanabishi"(I stuck with western naming order),The primary male protagonist of the series. He's a normal student in collegue and he's a good student all together.(Unlike many anime where the hero is either a straight A's student or a loser...sorta speak). What's amazing about him is that he's not your typical hero kinda guy. He's not physically strong, not a pretty boy with issues...just a normal guy! He's generally well liked and is a member of the photography club at Meiritsu University. He harbors a dark past in him, he shows great hatred to his family(Hanabishi clan) .
He harbors a deep dislike for the Hanabishi clan due to their inhumane treatment of himself and his mother, which was due in turn to that clan's disapproval of his parents' relationship and resulted in Kaoru leaving the clan. Kaoru's mother and father never married, and he was an illegitimate child. His back is scarred from when he was tortured with a bamboo cane for trying to prevent his grandfather from burning mementos of his dead mother. Living alone up till now, he has led an average, if not lonely, life. When Aoi(The primary female protagonist of the series) came he was, at first, startled at her visit, not remembering almost anything from before. Aoi comes to him in hopes for a marriage....Will he marry her? what will happen? and what his and her family have to say in this?...

Characters:(9.5/10)
The characters of this anime show great deal of emotions and personal effect. In my humble opinion, every character had grown ,along the story, very well. Characters like Tina Foster are fun to be with, and also fun to watch :) .

This anime is one of my favorite because of its purity and somewhat good romantic touch in modern sense. I recommend watching this anime for all of you lovey dovey out there ;) .

I'd give this anime a 9/10 because it has touched me in a way no other anime had!

Anime: Lovely Complex

Hey everyone! I'm writing today about anime! Oh how I love anime. I'm "supposed" to be old for some people, but I think watching anime shouldn't has to do with age,but rather with spirit...Oh god,I'm starting to talk like an old geezer already, lol.(I'm actually 20 years old,but where I come from, that's quite old to still be watching anime!).

I have seen some interesting anime, and some were quite disappointing I'm afraid to say. But the ones that were good,I thank god that I got to watch such wonderful ...."Stories". Well,as I said before,I think differently(look at my "about me" section) so I don't actually look at what other people like and like it just because! I tend to see for myself..(woah,could that be any more vague?). I mean, not just cuz someone said that certain anime's great it doesn't mean that it IS great,I HAVE to check it first and judge for myself.(probably many of you say that you do the same and what's new about it...well,I just thought to clarify things, lol)

Well,I'll talk today about one of the completed anime series. "Lovely Complex"!

Lovely Complex

I have to say that it's one of the most anime that had value in it. I believe that its story is so charming and captivating that it deserves my respect and everyone else's as well!. It's about two persons(a guy and a girl,as usual...well duh) met casually and nothing interesting happened except after a while they kinda got on each other's nerves which made class mates around them laugh at them which gave them a title(watch it to know the title's name). They were unusual in that they were really different from each other but at the same time they're quite the same :) . The boy's 155 cm tall and the girl's 172 cm. So you see the contrast in their heights!. As the story progresses, one of them will fall for the other,of course the other won't realize that cuz they don't think of them the same way they do...(Well,I kinda confused myself there, but just watch the anime,k?). Will they learn to truly love each other despite their difficulties both on personal and social scales? What will happen to them.....all that and more, just watch the da** anime already....just kidding there, but I mean it! It's worth your every penny(or bandwidth....lol).

Well,hope you learned something there....cya

Rating:

I have to give it a full 10/10, cuz it has everything a person can ask for!
